Patrick Corsi

Managing Partner - Q4

It's been said that every good actor needs a good director, and every good director needs a good actor.  It's an analogy that fits the father and son partnership of Antonio and Patrick Corsi very well.  In the case of Q4 Restaurant, Patrick is the actor, delighting audiences nightly at Q4, and Antonio is the director, the visionary behind the scenes.

Born in Germany, and raised on the North Shore, Patrick  grew up in his father's restaurants and on stage, graduating from high school with a theatre scholarship.  Although Patrick seriously considered pursuing a theatre career, the restaurant business was in his blood and he continued to lay the groundwork for a successful career as a restaurateur.

At 19, after working at the Pan Pacific and Park Royal hotels, Patrick took the hotel management course at Vancouver Community College.

By 1994 Patrick's sights were set on redefining Italian dining in Vancouver.  He determined that a new contemporary Italian restaurant was needed.  He called his father, who was a partner in Il Portico restaurant in Edmonton at the time, and proposed his idea.  Antonio flew to Vancouver immediately and within 72 hours the ink was dry on lease of 2611 West Fourth Avenue.  Q4 opened on the corner of Trafalgar and Fourth that summer.

Today, Patrick is one of Vancouver's youngest and, like his father, most respected restaurateurs; Business in Vancouver magazine included Patrick on its list of top business achievers under the age of 40 in 2003.  Patrick's efforts centre on managing Q4 and passionately spearheading the wine program of Q4 Restaurant, a program that Wine Spectator magazine acknowledged with an award of excellence each year since 2001.  He is also on the Chefs Table Society Board of Directors.

Patrick and his father, Antonio, own and operate three successful restaurants:  Q4, Quattro at Whistler and Gusto di Quattro.
